Getting Started
Your new business is just a few steps away.
From the permitting process to acquiring capital, the Economic Development Team is here to answer any questions you may have about what is required to do business in our city.
We aim to make this part of the process as simple and convenient as possible, so please contact us with questions.
Additionally, the City and Greater Perimeter Chamber of Commerce collaborate on ribbon cuttings and grand opening events for new businesses in the city. This is a great way to learn more about your local Chamber of Commerce and promote your new venture.
Permits and Licenses
All businesses located in the City of Sandy Springs are required to hold a valid Business Occupational Tax Certificate, often referred to as a business license, and pay Business Occupational Taxes. The Certificate is valid for one calendar year and must be renewed annually. You can find the application and more information by visiting the Sandy Springs Revenue Department page.
Staff are available to provide guidance and answer questions. The Revenue and Permit Department is open by appointment only from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday at City Hall and can be contacted by email or by phone at 770-730-5600.
